haha i burst my racket strings today. then i borrowed ben's racket, then halfway through the rally i burst it too. but according to the rules, you cannot stop halfway even if your strings burst, so i just played on. haha then tim played a lose shot, then i raised my racket high and WHACKED it hard! but the strings gave way even more and the shot turned out like shit.

ben's racket is the bue one, look how jialat it is lah. hahaha

Yeah i participated in part of Earth Hour! Well i at least satisfied half the criteria of it! xD

Earth Hour: Everyone are advised to switch off all lights and electric appliances in their homes and live in darkness for an hour.

Hahahaha and im glad to say that i DID switch off all my lights at home! (that was cos i wasnt at home, i was in malaysia!) BUT WHO CARES!

and so yesterday i met up with sec 4 friends after a LONGGGG time! felt good seeing them :) havent seen them in ages, last time i even talked to them was on new year's day!

Guess what! We went to plaza singapura there to watch chelsea's first ever dance competition (not only she performing, the whole street dance group). It was quite pissing that the guys didnt want to stay there cos it was hot and crowded and stuffy. But we eventually managed to found a space to watch under a tree somewhere there :D then came a group of smoking people which stunk like hell. and i managed to beg them to stay on. THEN IT FREAKING RAINED! -.-

what the heck lah thats the ultimate spoiler! Rain always sucks, no matter what. (unless it hasnt rained in 31days....) Other than that, i love it when it rains on saturday morning and thats all! Now you see, rain sucks because of past experiences when during pe, we're gonna play soccer but then comes the godamned rain resulting in everyone having to do push-ups and sit-ups instead. Ultimate spoiler!

so it rained, what to do, we gotta seek shelter. and so we headed inside to plaza sing. haha and damn i had to fight so hard to beg the guys not to watch a 4.15pm movie! i was dying to watch chels on stage street-ing away! So the air-con and shelter made up for it. Then later we eventually went out, cannot tahan anymore. wait later start then we miss.... (i'll just die lah)

and damn i tell you, due to the rain, the crowd outside was hella screwed up. Can you actually imagine almost everyone standing so packed under a small shelter the size of a squash court! I tried entering the tent and ended up argueing with the event dude cos they said remaining space was for VIPs. -.- haha am i not a vip, my girlfriend's performing leh!

And so off they went, and it was soo amazing! the previous two groups that went before them were noobs comparatively! (RJ pawns the rest! xD) One of the best parts that got me swaying was when the song "Jai Ho" played... Thats the soundtrack from the show "Slumdog Millionaire" (its a good show, go watch it. i would rate it 9.9/10) Seeing it live on stage and competitively was so much different than seeing it on small video!

They're all great dancers! :) but cos of biasness, duh im gonna say only one of all them magnificent ones shine out from the rest! Guess who?

and so after that, i wanted to smack johan lah. haha that retarded shit. And so i manged to tell chels how amazing she was on stage after that before she went off for the dude-holding-the-camera to scream and shout and chill out like streeters do! Let them have their fun, i'll finally have to let go of the string im holding to stay there after being pulled backwards for hours by my sec 4 mates.

Though im sorry i wasnt around during results. I'd still have to say in my opinion, ya'll will forver be the best dancers ever! Always a winner to me :) make it to next round, and i'll beat up the next event dude that blocks me from entering the tent. Now thats what im gonna die for :)

haha guys go visit tim's blog, it has been revived! (reincarnate)

anyway, i was out jogging yesterday when something funny happened. Well it might not be funny to some but i'll just blog about it anyway.

To start off, you will have to know that i am a road runner (in my terms), well basically i run/jog by the roadside and if late at night or if the sake of convenience sets in, i will jog on the road. Like when im gonna cross the road and the side closer to me is empty, i'll just jogged on it diagonally to get to the centre of the road (usually a road divider), then i'll jog on the road divider while also looking out whether there are cars coming, if not, i will continue my diagonal path across to the other side.

The main purpose of this feat is so that i do not have to stop while jogging/running. Especially for long distances, it sucks to have to stop halfway to tie your stubborn shoelace or wait for the traffic light that seems to take forever. Now i know this is dangerous, but dont stop me, im pro at it! :)

And so yesterday, i came to this traffic light (damn it -.-), then had to stop cos it was quite a busy road and there was nowhere else to turn. Unwillingly, i stopped and waited for the traffic light to side human beings again instead of vehicles. I could feel the pain of stopping slowly creeping up to me, my legs and body as the seconds pass by.

THEN THE OPPORTUNITY STRUCK! NO CARS! :D

So up goes my head and on i go, bracing myself to go faster for the sake of crossing that 'dangerous' gravel path that stood in front of me. Obviously, i was immediately the centre of attraction to all padestrains also waiting, but dude who cares? im an extremist :P

Then in my peripheral vision, i could see an old man waiting at the other side. Haha now who cares? What on earth could he do? Like what anyone else would do, i didnt bother. Didnt even move my eyes to the left to look at him.

So there i go...

when suddenly... "EH ONE DAY YOU'RE GOING TO DIE I TELL YOU!"

HAHAHA OMG SO FUNNY, can you imagine some uncle saying that in that particular 'chinese-english' accent which a majority of the past-generation people have!

haha then i just moved on, eyes straight on my road ahead, pace the same like any other second as before. No slow down, no speed up. Breathing still the same. To him, it was as if i had my mp3 plugged in blasting on max volume. And to me, it was as if it was some bird going "phew you!" Well it was as if he didnt exist. HAHA

Damn i swear i had that strong impulse to turn my head and shout back, "ARENT WE ALL GONNA DIE?" then with the same pace and not stopping, i'll just move on.

or i could go more rude and say "dont worry you're gonna die earlier than me" haha but thats damn bad to a poor old dude like him ><

SEE, im nice :) haha then i stopped at the next stop (where i met johan) and laughed my balls off! Tsk, so much for just going for another jog...

Last night, all of us were playing and jumping on the bed. Then in the midst of all the havoc action, i pulled tim's leg from beneath him and he fell and broke his front bottom middle tooth.

This post right now, written in a cyber cafe alone, close to 12 midnight, is to say that im really really sorry for whatever happened.

Now that although everything seems normal, i still feel damn guilty. i really dont know what to do now, and what to write here either.

back to my china trip

#4. Busrides and Burnouts, (Dominator) and literally

upon boarding the tour bus for the very first time after arrival at china, our seats for the rest of the trip was settled then, and there. I guessed it. But to hell with it, haha who wont be tired after a 6 hour flight? So for the whole trip, i had to bear with the minimal space of my seat. At times when im wide awake, it felt confined (but not the least claustrophobic) and uncomfortable.

BUT LUCKY the good thing about having a roommate that sleeps at insane hours is that he causes you to feel sleepy, everytime and everywhere. haha imagine sleeping at 4 and waking up at 7plus everyday.

Most of the time, we were the last to arrive for breakfast at hotel and last to board the bus, but thats not the major problem yet. Haha the major problem is our bus burnouts. Once we park out butts down on that soft chair of the bus, we dozed off! Feeling so burnt out from last night's "nap". Afterall, words coming out of the tourguide's mouth are hard to comprehend. (refer to previous post about tourguide)

haha this reminds me of what william said one day, one of the days where we slept at 4-5plus and woke up tired as hell, probably even late till the extend where the gals are leaving for breakfast and out of curiousity, one of them decided to check on us by giving us a call, AND that particular call turns out to be our wake up call!!!

thats the literall bus burn out.

Then theres the virutal burnout. Also and more cool known as the Burnout Dominator™.
At times when we're all not tired or bored, then out comes the psp, and then the few of us would challenge and play this game known as burnout dominator, a racing game with a twist of vehicle violence. haha i dont know any better way to describe it, but its hell fun when challenging with live opponents. Especially our 4 way races with loser out/winner stay rule. And i managed to play the whole way! xD but it was, of course, adrenaline pumping, end up the psp also all wet from my sweaty palms! >< before i move on to my next part of the trip, just take a guess right now whether our flight back to singapore would be burnout dominator or burnt out tiredness!

#4.5 Plane burnout

i mean burnt out.

At the airport, while waiting for our return flight back to singapore, we realised that we had close to 2hrs to wait! -.- so we played poker, betting on pushups! haha that was the fun! well it was more fun that way cos you wont feel as pain as losing money instead abit of strength for the rest of the day (or night, haha)

So can you imagine a group of guys doing push ups at an airpor terminal?! Quite funny! HAHA! Lucky that waiting hall wasnt so crowded and the only people around most of the time were teachers and the rest of our tour group.

Funnier was when pantat (jiahao) had pocket pairs most of the time and was sucked up by jeryl all the time with straights and flushes! And that was after he went all in! (meaning he bet everything - which was a total of 15pushups) at the end of the day, i think he did more than 100pushups!

Then we boarded the plane, and william slept before the plane even took off. At that time, there was no reason for any of us not to doze off, cos before take-offs and take-offs are usually boring. So i was just thinking "nvm burnout later :) " when we're in the skies and everyone is awake.

THEN, in no time, i myself also dozed off! haha! then the next time i woke up, the entire cabin was all dark and snores were louder than the engines of the plane....

That was our plane burnout!

and that is the end of my china post. sorry if the ending's rather abrupt or what, but cos i'll have to wake up early tmr morning to catch the bus to malaysia.

I'll be going malaysia from tommorrow till 10th dec!

Today marks the end of the long, tiring, yet fun and enjoyable 10 days china trip! Two™ was somewhere in between! But nvm, it was still good to be able to celebrate it with that special someone from 2769miles away! Somewhere where it will be so damn hot, while at the same exact time i could be so damn cold with 2 to 3 times the layer of clothing as compared!

My general opinion on the china trip would be that it was a sight-seeing and shopping and learning trip. But for goodness sake, this is BEI JING that we're going to! And my chinese isn't exactly very good, for example, i was already having the hardest time trying to make out what the pilot was trying to say in the plane!

And so we reached the airport, and of everyone in the tour group, i got detained abt 20mins because my singapore passport was slightly different from the current passport in china. So paiseh lah, imagine the whole group that you'll be with is already waiting for you on the first day!

Then we took our first step out of the airport, AND a cold gush of wind blew into our faces! It was like a hit. So fast, and so deadly, cos sooner or later, i could already not feel my ears. Then after boarding the bus, few of us just collapse and went into a nap. Afterall, the tourguide was pretty hard to understand at times, but i gotta give him credits for already changing his beijing accent to the normal chinese accent.

for example : he changed "zha men" (us) to "wo men"

that seemed pretty hard to me, if i was already a china-man and have been using it all my life!

Then we had our first china meal and this one consisted of a majority of vegetables and it was, similar for the rest of the 19meals of the whole trip, served with coke and sprite. The coke and sprite would always be served in the 1.5litre bottle and you could just pour them out to drink.

C'mon, vegetables aren't very nice! ><

#1. Soccer in the hotel!
omg if teacher sees this blog post, then im so dead
Before the trip, william (short form - will) and i planned to bring a mini soccer ball there to play while in the hotel in case we get bored at night. So upon arrival at hotel, we immediately pumped the ball, unpacked and got down to some joga bonito action. We used the shoes as goals, you gotta hit the shoe straight on for it to be counted as a goal. Haha that was damn fun!

For this, i gotta thank shawn tan for the cheap-ass milo soccer ball, it was some awesome fun for us! For jia hao (nickname - pantat) too! Cos one of the nights, he was down at our room to play, we played 1 on 1, 3 goals switch player. Then loser can use the savior laptop while out of play.

Then that was the night where i chipped my toe nail off by accident. And it was hella fun! Cos more people and somemore two guys in a "walkway" IN a hotel room was squeezy as hell to dribble, control etc. THAT was the fun! Then stupid pantat gotta come up with all his tyco from far end shots. haha nvm he's a pantat lah, afterall! xD

#2. English lesson at Beijing No.9
Middle School
Take note it was only the english lesson, cos that was one of the best laughs i had in the whole entire trip.

Okay so we visited this school known as ~~~~~~ (up there) and will and i begged for english class, so we wouldnt fall asleep not understanding what the teacher said. Cos other lessons like geography and literature're all held in chinese -.-

Then we went in, and all the 15year old students stared at us like some aliens from another planet. And through instincts, will and i managed to pick out and sat at the "coolest" table of the whole class, where the people of this table actually talked and joked/suan each other/slack etc. Surprisingly, they didnt really looked 15 years old, more like our own age to me for most of them.

One thing that was easily observed of all china students are that they are very very eager to learn! When the teacher asks a question, more than half the class would rush to put up their hands as though it was raining money. With their toes all already on the floor and butts on the edge of their seats, THIS is how eager they were to answer just a yes or no question! Furthermore, it wasnt some nerd class or what! Its just, generally, china students.

Okay, back to the funny moments in the english class.

Before i begin, i gotta start by saying that china people arent exactly the best at english, even the english teachers themselves, they would probably be jealous of a typical singaporean 10year old boy's english. But besides that, they're standard would be enought to communicate simply. Afterall, china's only beginning its first few stages of global d$evelopment, this is stage 1 :)

So will and i were given a sheet of paper each. And the paper was more like a survey, which was later found out to be part of the lesson later on, a conversation between 2 partners on their diets.
(oh the lesson was called "You are what you eat") And the questions on the paper were totally senseless!

I will state down here the first three lines on the paper.

What do you usually have for ......?

What about our dining hall?

What did you eat at home yesterday?Meals

This is exactly the question paper! Even the grammatic spacing mistake at the Meals there was how it was! How the hell are we suppose to come up with a conversation like that?!

So the group will and i were seating in chose the two of us to demo to the whole class. WTH!

So we stood up.....

William: Jon, what did you usually have for breakfast?
Then my mind suddenly had this craving for nasi lemak, well i dont usually have breakfast, but it would be damn spoiler to say that.
Me: Bread and milk.
Then i was trying to think of how to phrase out the next question. Then william chiong and asked,
William: What about our dining hall?
haha i think he knew the answer to this question was gonna be tough. YEAH IT HELL WAS!!!! ><>
Me: WHAT ABOUT OUR DINING HALL!!!
Then we broke out laughing, and the whole class, looking at us laughing, also broke out laughing!! Then even the teacher found us humourous!
William: What did you eat at home yesterday?
well we ate at the local chinese restaurant and i knew only the meat that i ate then, cos the rest was vege and it sucked pretty bad.
Me: Chicken and rice.
then we heard sounds of "ahhh cheeeken. ahhhh raiii-ce" among the china students, who were trying to make out what we were saying.
THEN before i could ask him anything, he quickly asked,
William: What about dinner?
Me: Rice and chicken.
haha then this time the class need not see us laughing before they were already cracked up!

Joke lah! We were like the star of the class for that period. So i was seating beside some act-cool dude and william was seating beside two typical gossip-gals. I dont know, but i think they look up to us or something, trying to get out attention or what....

This conversations just left us speechless and was pretty funny if you think about it!

China dude (in chinese): Do ya'll have girlfriends?
Me: Ermmm....
haha
China dude: Ok i get it, then is it allowed?
then i was shocked at this question, since when was such things not allowed?!
Me: Obviously its allowed! How can it not be allowed?!
China dude: Wah thats so cool!
then he turned to the rest of the table and said to them,
China dude: "Wo kuai yao qu xin jia po (singapore) fa zhan le!"

hahaha! Joke! Apparently, he was some basketballer.... and looked like a cockster too.

This other conversation with william was pretty funny too!

Gossip gals: Do ya'll like pretty girls?
IM SERIOUS! she just suddenly asked that question! So random! HAHA this must be the joke of the year or something! Who wouldnt like pretty girls? So how dyou say "DUH" chinese? haha nah screw it. we used "dang ran"
William: [*laughed* his laughing fit style]
Me: Dang ran la!

tsk, gossip gals... haha we never saw them again! Then afterwards they mentioned about the dance performance we would watch on the last day, then they said that, that performance will have alot of "mei nu" (pretty girls)

haha so random! but so funny!

#3. Great Wall of China - One of the wonders of the world!
I could boldly state right here, right now, that conquering the great wall of china is totally impossible by any one in the world! Whether you're the fitest man on earth and can run hundreds of kilometres or trek thousands of kilometres. Climbing it from one end and going one round before coming back to the same spot would only exists in dreams.

Firstly, it is built on mountains and therefore, the land is not even and staircases are throughout the whole wall! Well, maybe 90% of it. Heard its 5000km long, so 90% would be hell long!

Plus the staircases arent built by the best constructions workers anyone can offer, they were built by prisoners of war! Using nothing more than simple tools. So the terrain is very rocky and not smooth at all!

Together with the strong winds and thin air on the mountains, moving foward and catching your breath is a challenge! Afterall, i bet you've already seen pictures of it, and look at how boring it looks!

oh one more thing, it looks short, and i could even bet my head we climbed only a short distance, but was already tired shit. Cos at the great wall of china, you had to CLIMB IT!!!! LITERALLY climb it! Cos every step was a stair! Thats whats tiring! imagine climbing 2km of steps! And i think we only covered 2-3km in 45minutes! How slow lah!

Then that night, our legs were all aching like mad... hahaha xD

oh man its been a long time since heading down to the beach! especially with squashers, and other friends. Whoever it is, its been a long time man!

so i'll be leaving for china this saturday morning at 7.30am! (anyone wanna send me off? haha) Think about it! Thousands of miles away over in China! And this will be the first time im actually flying into china, heh no joke! The one and only other time i've stepped into that land where you dont find any black skins was last year when i went with family to hong kong/shen zhen. That time, we took train into china, so NOT COUNTED!

haha i can already feel my curiousness building up, hows the food there? hows the people? (heard and probably think that they're very bad attitude) hows the climate? is the air dry? and the food? would it be all green?

and its Bei Jing! never been there before, dont suan me! haha actually, i never knew it was bei jing that we were going, (it slipped off my mind) cos basically, my impression of china would be large fields of green with a thousand farms where the only food we ate were monkeys/dogs and whatever that seemed inedible here! Till william told me we werent going to "zhi zhou" or something like that, then that anyhow whack joke was so funny my brain then automatically downloaded the fact that we're going BEI JING!

any souvenirs or what ya'll want me to help buy, just hurry up book! haha if possible, i'll try and bring back yao ming! ;)

TODAY, after a long long long time! i finally went down to sp! haha
then for a long long long time, i finally got to kick ka hoe's soccer ball, and damn did it feel different from the one i've been using at school.

but nevertheless, i still managed to get down with all the tricks i know :) haha then there was street soccer, and again, i get the horrible feeling that without team chemistry, then it would be as fun compared to playing marbles.

then hari raya dinner at mr yang's house was nice :) ate almost 15nuggets and a whole load more of wedges! then we watch Man U against Everton and somewhere in the 16th minute i think, then fletcher scored a goal and i left.

then after i left, what happened after that was a blur! time even seemed to stop at one point in time! >< but overall, today was a great day :)

yay there was no beep test today. for the coach to check on our fitness, he had us run 4km. and my stamina's pretty bad! ><

hello people! right now im in Kowloon Tong station accessing the same free internet that they provide. and yet again i've 15mins.

today, i played my first game. my opponent was the korean dude that i was watching in court yesterday. apparently he gave his opponent yesterday 27-0. quite scary... lol

so we played, the first 2 sets went by rather fast, probably only about 10mins? the score then was 9-0, 9-0. damn i wanted to keep my straight 0 streak. but after a minute into the third game, he managed to execute a fluke shot (~~lucky~~ tyco shot) so bringing the score of that game to 1-1. that was when i knew i needed to relax and not overstrain myself. cos my back still hurts!

okay, after this, gonna take a train down to mongkok to look for phones and lunch! OH speaking of lunch, the food here is amazing! :)
after that, 'll go back hotel, take a shower then meet up with my lovely cousin who's staying here in hk. She'll then take us to this adidas/puma/nike factory outlet to get some stuff! :)

oh yeah, and i got my haircut already! omg its quite nice! cos the hairstylist recommended that i straighten my fringe, which i happily agreed and so was carried out.

first time in my life that i dont need to style my fringe before stepping out the door! haha!

Greetings from Hong Kong!

right now, at this very moment that im typing this. i am standing right at the middle of HK's Central Station. Fyi, their railway transport here is known as MTR, probably meaning mass transit railway (i guess :\)

the time here is same as in singapore. Anyway, i only got abt 10 mins left to complete this post as the free usage per person for this free comp is limited. The lifestyle here is so freaking busy, that every word i type, about 8-10 people have walked pass behind my back.

Well, today i went down to the courts. To support Justin's bro and also to take a look at my opponent i'll be meeting tmr. All i can say is, i could possibly make it pass first round provided i dont screw up/get nervous etc.
The match that my opponent played today lasted only 10mins! The winner (which i'll be meeting tmr) is from Korea...

aww i miss home, miss school and miss so much things back in singapore already! so get ready for a photospam once i get back to singapore! :)

testing out my photoshop skills and this is what i got! omg its so hilarious! although not perfectly smooth, it still looks okok from afar.

anyway, today was physics mock spa! and damn did i screw up in the sources of errors part! i only came up with 4 errors (supposed to do 5 so as to "play-safe") PLUS i crapped about 1 of them!

anyway, we played floorball during pe! haha despite our loss to another class, it was quite an enjoyable game, and funny too... haha can u imagine it? shawn was the keeper for almost 20-30mins, and SOMEHOW, i used the word somehow.

somehow there were many close shots made by the opponent but none made it into the back of the net.

and the moment ryan chan changed position with shawn (so he's now the keeper), not only 3MINS!!!!! then the opponent scored a goal! hahaha omg recalling it is just so funny!

the way shawn recalled that to me too, omg made me laugh until wanna die..... X)

today was the first time i played soccer seriously on HARD FLOOR in sooooo soooo long!
omg man it was awesome. the feeling of the ball at my feet, the instincts of where ur team mates will automatically run to. these came to me naturally during the 4v4 times in secondary sch. although it didnt turn out so smooth, it was still just as good.

plus my back hurt like shit la thats why i cant run fast. dammit.

anyway, damn econs test tmr. and i havent even started yet!

OHHH! And mock spa today! i cant freaking believe that my value for the vol divide by mass is almost twice that of a majority (in fact, all) the rest of the class! it should be a quite constant number.....

so today was the finals of the singapore individual graded tournament.

and i've gotta admit that my match against jason ho was quite lucky. that was mainly cos he played with tim soh before playing with me. anyway, i won through a torturous 5 setter.

couldnt really remember the exact scores of each set, all i know was that my back was screaming at me every time i bend, it was screaming right in my ears, right to my very head "STOP PLAYING OR I SWEAR I'LL BREAK APART!!!!!"

yeah.

and the match against my bro after that?
prediction yesterday, chances of winning: 0.1%
well, that was true. i lost. 27-0

27-0 because i gave him a walkover. no point in playing.

today 2 things happened. first, i got my tooth filled back, so its alright now.

secondly, i played a match so tough that brought my fighting level to the max. to those who've seen me played all out before, u will know that when i fight, i really push myself to somewhere far beyond my own limits.
if u're gonna fight anyway, might as well just fight it all out...

well to start it off, my opponent was samuel wong, 19year old dude from Safsa. He's a C grader and an excellent army boy who can run and pick and whack and run again.

besides, i'm still having my freaking damn back pains, such that i was literally tearing while playing. especially during the 3rd game. I was down 2-0, seriously... somehow, my back just couldnt take it. every boast and every drop shot was like a metal bar being pierced through ur back.

so the 3rd game, somehow it went on to him leading me 8-5, match ball. -.-

then after many handouts and points, i managed to freaking catch up to 8-8. at that point, my mind was all giddy, my legs were crying in pain and my back was yet as irritating as ever.
however tired u are, thats how tired ur opponent is.

and hell, one point isnt so easy. there were about 4-5 handouts before i finally manage to pull off a lucky shot to end the game.

score? 2-1 down.

during the rest time, i almsot figured i could not take it anymore. my back was now hurting like a burning hot metal rod being pierced through the same damn spot. i couldnt even stand up straight! and neither can i bend down! doing so would mean pain.

so upon commencement of the 4th game, he immediately shot up to 7-1. freak i was still in a daze la. I WAS HARDLY RALLYING AT THIS POINT ALREADY. i was trying to seize every opportunity to put the ball just above the tin, or better still, into the nick. I JUST COULDNT TAKE RALLYING ANYMORE! then at one particular handout, and a few other service overs, i managed to caught up to 5-7.
come on, just 2 more points to equalize.

but that few points just didnt come in. i was too shagged. WAYYYYYY too shagged. the final shot, my weary eyes just watched the ball fly straight towards somewhere near me, resulting in a godamn stroke.

woah today's my first time ever stepping inside esplanaude's auditorium and damn i've to tell u... its HUGE!!!

well to start it off, we got sponsered some free tickets to go catch MagicBox, which is a play featuring the story of a man and his family in the magic industry. They try to survive despite many setbacks along the way. well the show was awesome but i'll come to that later.

Firstly, the auditorium was so freaking big! never have i stepped into such a big theatre before! because our free tickets only allocated us the $41 seats (which are the cheapest -.-), therefore we were seated at the highest row in the auditorium, and that was about the 4th storey i think.
While walking in, into the auditorium. I (rather excitedly) peeped in while walking as the queue to enter was quite slow. Then all that was running through my mind was "where's the damn stage! why can i see the ceiling from here!"

well, not my fault that i've never been inside before... then we went in, i looked down and OMGosh!

okay anyway the show was amazing, the magic tricks were awesome. The play was world class.

tonight, although sad, i'm glad that i at least got to see my uncle one LAST FINAL time before the funeral tommorrow. after tonight, after my final prayer, i will never ever ever see him again. Imagine someone just leaving and dissappearing from a part of your life. it sucks, yeah but this is life.

this song is dedicated to my 1st uncle, aka eldest uncle, whom we all last saw 4 weeks ago and had dinner with him. Despite his old age, his charismatic character never failed to keep us awake and feeling fresh after squash at jcc. he even forced dad not to pay for the dinner which was 60bucks plus. Afterall he was dad's older brother, our eldest uncle, and a nice one he was..

and the 2nd time we saw him was during the holidays, where we celebrated his 75th birthday. That was at One Degree 15 Marina Club at Sentosa, which is one of the most prestigious clubs in singapore. and we had one hell of a time there.

but unfortunately, this very morning, he has moved on to another world, where good souls will be found and where life may be better for him...

Greetings from Korea!

i'm in Busan, Korea right now, right at the squash courts. Apparently, they've set aside 2 computers for players, coaches and parents and all to access the internet for mails etc.

so far, i've taken loads and loads of photos. So many such that when i upload it, its gonna be such a spam ur eyes cant take it! x)

well, as for the tournament? damn i did very very badly. kinda sad. But well, i came here for the exposure, to play and compete against world class junior players. right now, my seedings will turn up either 31st or 32nd.

Second Dream

i want to be on court, looking out to hundreds of spectators, all watching and expecting the spectacular. to control the cheers and cries of ur supporters with a good shot. to execute a shot, which will pull along the sight of the hundred eyes following it. hit a nick and the crowd goes woah, make a mistake and the crowd goes oohh. either ways, the feeling inside you is undeniably amazing.

i want to enter the courts and wave to the supporters, to give my bandana one last final check to make sure its in place, skip a few times on the spot to check my shoes are tight, grip hold of my racket to make sure the feel is there. then to give one last skip at the door to the court, grip hold of the cross at my neck, enter the court, pick up the ball....

and be the first to whack it. cos the first few whacks will usually quieten the spectators, that feeling is..... yeah...... amazing.

First Dream

i want to snowboard down a mountain. i want to feel the cold breeze on my cheeks. to be ensured protection from the cold by a hoodie and a beanie with a scarf. to look through tinted snow goggles while adjusting it with snow gloves.

i wanna soar through the air and do a trick at every possible jump. to fly 40plus feet and land on the soft snow, clean.

it is my dream to be carrying a snowboard while waiting for the skylift. to be stretching and pschying myself up for the upcoming run down the mountain, (not literally run la).

Screw skateboarding, when it comes to snowboarding, skateboards can go weep and cry in a ditch.

So today, the draw was rather unlucky.
I met Joshua Wong, National Ranking in Singapore 2nd for U19 and excellent player.

So i lost 3-1, set score was 4-9, 1-9, 9-6, 7-9.....
but im not dissappointed, its not just the on-court game that matters. Its the experience.
My first time playing in an interschool tournament, and my first time playing in an interschool tournament finals. My first time seeing so many supporters who dont even know who you are yet their there cheering their lungs off for their own schoolmate, for Raffles.

Looking out from the court is just amazing, the feeling that u've got almost a hundred people behind your back pushing you on its awesome. The motivation from the cross against my neck couldnt even beat the least of the cheering crowd. Everytime i get a bad call from the referee, i turn around and instead get consoled by the people surrounding the referee.

Hence they say the court is your stage. Its almost as if the ball doesnt matter anymore. Its just u and your opponent in the court, under the hopeful eyes of almost 250 plus spectators. Now i can go to Hong Kong, Korea with this on-court experience that is almost impossible to achieve.

Special thanks to my ~~beautiful~~ handsome brother tim, william, brandon, emily, janice, daphne, all of brandon's gang, to all the gals squashers, zeslene, ruth, michelle, becky, shun yee, jia jun, pamela, susan, jerryca, cherie, to all the guys squashers, kim wee, jun wei, joshua, nicholas, ganesh, ka wai (tsk), ka hoe, bryan ng, mark, tim arnold, ah seng (not a squasher but knew him through a squasher), kenneth chan (damn he was seating on rj side, so i presume...), michael, alex, james,

thanks for the amazing game, u made me run like mad, and i indeed ran like mad. Although i lost, the experience gained can never beat the score of the game... :)

Today, for the first time in my life, i tried eating oysters INTENTIONALLY! damn, no offence to people who love oysters (but got offence to mr william the pig la) haha jk. I THUS HAVE CONCLUDED THAT OYSTERS IS BY FAR THE WORST FOOD THAT I HAVE TASTED IN MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE.

damn let me just tell u more about it. i shan't go into the details about how we ended up choosing to buy oyster plus egg instead my much-loved carrot cake.
it was just kindness la haha ;)

Okay! so there, lying on the table, after sharing money to buy it, was the dear Fried Oyster. Well, initially the egg (with yam in it) was rather nice, not till i saw clearly, the first oyster. And to tell u the truth, it looked like a godamn alien brain to me......

to just give u an example of how bad it tasted and how bad i felt. well the last time i puked in life was when i was 5years old, exact. and that was because of car sickness. NEVER IN MY LIFE, have i puked while tasting horrible food. (well i didnt puke today la, so relax)
Then, this extremely strong feeling of nausea hit me like a bullet travelling at a billion mph.
it was so damn bad that for that moment, i wanted to spit out the stuff that was in my mouth and flood my mouth with mexican chilli to get rid of the taste...!

I was just gonna grab the sides of the chair beside me to regain my freaking consiousness and to even remain alive. I was just gonna run to the outside area of the food court and jump down and kill myself.... damn it was soo sooo sooo sooo bad,

if i was ever in a war, and i got captured hostage and am being put to torture. here's a sum-up of whats gonna happen.

the feeling of having overtrained would be rather familar to most people.
its like u go into the court, pitch, field, whatever. Then u play the first few points and ur all good. But till u reach abt 3 or 4 points, then u suddenly get this irritating.... YES IRRITATING! feeling where u just cant seem to focus on the ball. not that ur distracted by the people outside the court, its
JUST not being able to focus. damn

Realized i only took 3 pictures for the whole entire milo trip 2008..

Bukit Bintan (BB) Squash Courts.
Now there is something, one thing, very unique about BB squash courts. And that is the fact that the whole building, compound vaguely reminds u of the kind of old and worn out japanese schools that used to exist during the war. Also, it has the factory/warehouse atmosphere.
Not that this feelings are so obvious, its just a special feeling.

Plus, the courts dont have glass walls and maybe its because of the building being seated in the middle of a field as well? i dont know.

Anyway, back to the picture, this place has 12 courts! Which is damn alot since 12 is almost twice we have at kallang squash centre already.
But since the courts are so ulu and hot and there are no gallery courts, hence the U17 and U19 games are being played at Astaka squash courts instead. :)

Jansher Khan is a squash legend from Pakistan, he was the next best player following Jahangir Khan, who was yet another legend as he was unbeaten for 11years. (*or is it 5?)

Last but not least, i was extremely shocked when i saw the menu of the fish & co. there!
By some luck, we stumbled upon the one and only fish & co. in the whole of KL!!!!
haha maybe cos their business isnt very good over in malaysia, thats why the prices of the food is so damn damn freaking cheap!

Compare it against singapore, Best fish and chips- $13.90 (is it still $13.90?) , New York Fish and Chips- $14.90.

Damn! heart pain ah!

next time wanna eat fish and co. gotta head over to malaysia already! :):)

Although milo trip wasnt exactly interesting this year round. I could say that this is the only year out of the three times i went there that i managed to play 4 games and exchange 2 shirts! :D

plus i was training my counterstrike one night there one night at 1am when something amazing happened. Something that brings u into a nostalgic feeling.
awesome, yet sad.

today i shall blog about two things that happened today...

let me start off with the more interesting one. Today, i almost beat the crap out of ryan chan during pe, but looking at how poor thing he already is, i chose not to. After delivering a light drop kick to him, he went.

Ryan: Not happy come la!

at this point i was laughing inside la. Haha u cannot imagine the situation, how funny it is! Then he proceeded to do this wrestling move where he tackles me head-on and try to pull my legs from beneath me.
Struggled for like 10seconds... ... failed.
He stopped pushing, and i gave him a shove to push him away. Damn u cannot imagine the odour...
Okay, mr ryan, if ur reading this. Then take it that i'm already damn lenient to you. Because for that stupid tackle that u were doing. If i were to actually fall, since my hands and whole of my upper-body is above you, i would surely pull ur head down with me. Result? My knee would be in ur face, u would see stars literally.

Between seeeing stars and falling on soft grass (the field), i would rather choose the comfortable field.

so think twice before u go about fighting, cos fighting aint about physical only, it requires brains too. :)

NOTE: there was no fight! only a funny dude trying to do something funny

2nd incident wasnt very exactly interesting... haha just that i almost walked into a woman who was wearing a black baju kurong. Cos i was walking along this dark narrow path connecting my carpark and the busstop. Then i was listening to my Ipod, and so i didnt know she was behind me. Damn, then she just suddenly cut in front of me IN THAT NARROW PATH! plus it was rather dark so duh i didnt see her....

what happened? go figure... haha no lah i'm not that bad, i just apologized nicely and she just hurried on to who-knows-what-the-hell-shes-gonna-do.

plus a little incident happened in the library today. it was rather hilarious thinking about it...

Assembly today: 12.35pm

i was initially considering about ponning assembly as i heard it was about some speak-good-english shit. But then again, i heard there was gonna be a band invasion in our sch.
But whether is it gonna be during our assembly or not is what i was mainly concerned about. :)

So my final decision. Go there, mark attendance.

guess what? turn out that upon entering the MPH, we were greeted with multiple Nokia Banners around.
Big deal? Nah, not till u see the guitars and the camouflaged drumset behind the keyboard. That was then that i decided to get a good seat etc.

And so came up the first band, The Fire Fight. The moment they stepped on stage, i recognized the singer, & the keyboardist because of his 'trademark' hat. It looked like a German soldier helmet lah seriously. But quite stylo eh?

Awesome band, awesome lead singer/guitarist. But the mood wasn't there yet as most ppl do not know them or probably have not even heard of them before.
But their trademark hit "Candela" is damn amazing lah...

A replay of the one i saw last time at @scape park on the night that i went to watch Step Up 2.
yeah, their last song that night was also Candela, what a great way to end a set. And the crowd then was shouting Encore! Encore! but this time round aint as lively

So the next band was apparently more famous, West Grand Boulevard!!!
WOW!! Who're they?? i have no idea!
not till i their performance of the first song was done, then i instantly knew that they totally pawned The Fire Fight lah in terms of showmanship and stage atmosphere.

An emo song apparently, but to hell lah no one was in the mood to emo that time, plus it was so bright and choatic, (since everyone was in the moshpit)

omg i just realised that my squash standard has just taken a sudden drop till now its so bad i cant even execute a simple drive shot (straight).... today i played with uncle bobby and lost 2-0, then stopped and went to the gym.

enough.

cos i dropped into the tin so many times and even drived the ball straight into the tin from the back court, how can that happen la. my volleys led to strokes. my killer-shots led to his points....

sigh.

guess maybe its cos i've been overplaying, sigh. now's the best time to beat me. Thrash me 27-0, whatever.

First match support! Table Tennis!

upon entering the sports hall, we were greeted with cheers (more like screams la) and clapping and shouting etc etc.
The stands were packed with uniform-ed colours.

Our A Div gals and guys made it to the finals. Gratz to the the guys who emerged champions and clinched the gold title after a long, suspenseful and hard gruelling game with HCI. We won by a nose, 3-2 on overall. Deciding game five setter, 3-2. Final set was 11-9. We won by just 2 points.

AND

also a great game played by the gals, who lost 3-1, deciding set 3-2 and final game 11-6 or 11-7 i think. WHICH WAS DAMN CLOSE TO!!! cos if Janice had played, she would have definitely won..
Well played gals, and good game! We'll definitely come back next year to beat them...

Music is a part of life.
Rock Concerts, Gigs rocks.
this is a jumbled up post, but heck. I depend on music now to get rid of troubles.

I am the kind of person who in a rock concert, cannot bear to sit down in a comfortable seat and watch. I needa stand up, needa scream in the mosh pit, needa push and fight to get to the first row. Basically, for the moments when i was in the seat. I was itching like mad, already singing and pounding to the beat and music.

And today's also the first time i've ever been backstage before a performance. Let me tell u, it is AMAZING backstage. To see all the guitars on the floor, all the wires and guitar effects. To see, experience a little portion of a rock star's gigs.
AMAZING. the neon lights coming backstage, the numerous ppl giving their bandmates last minute encouragement. And to give ur close mate who is performing a last minute good luck hug. (then get chased off the stage)

amazing. music, is amazing.
